Process
Our team created a design system before starting wireframes and prototypes. When designing the homepage, I focused on making navigation easy for users. I included three cards that explain the steps to use Jambu, followed by three cartoon images that describe the app’s purpose and its significance. I also designed the All Playlists page where users can view all their playlists and create new ones by clicking the gray Add button. For the static playlists, I used emojis as icons to represent them and to add a playful and cute touch similar to the cartoons on the homepage and the app logo.

Outcome
Throughout this process, we made several iterations and slight adjustments to our ideas but successfully followed through with our design process and implemented it into the application. Overall, the website is user-friendly, charming, and enjoyable to use. One key lesson I have learned from this and many past group projects is that creating a design system beforehand greatly helps maintain consistency when designing as a team.
